100 articles, 50 links. Where are the leads?

Why task-count SEO may fail to bring customers, and how to build around real demand.

Traditional SEO isn't dead. Businesses expect a better strategy.

Technical optimisation, useful content and links still matter. The problem starts when a supplier sells volume: twenty texts, ten links and an attractive report. None explains why someone should buy from you.

A business owner in Moldova needs a clear journey: a customer searches, finds a relevant page, understands the offer and makes an enquiry. That is the journey to improve.

Pages for demand, not articles for a quota

A canopy company's generic “Structures in Moldova” page may be too broad. Customers need different solutions: carports, terraces, materials, installation and prices. A separate page makes sense when it serves a distinct need and has enough real information.

Do not create identical pages by swapping city names. Study queries, customer questions and search results first. If services barely differ, one strong page with clear sections may be better.

A commercial query isn't a sale yet

“Bespoke kitchen price Chișinău” and “choosing kitchen materials” reflect different needs. The first is closer to ordering; the second can introduce your company. Both can help, but need different measurement.

Define page roles: capture demand, compare options or order. Offer a relevant next step in an article; show terms and quote options on a service page.

Check the path to an enquiry first

Open the priority page on a phone. Can you see pricing or how it is calculated, timelines, service area and real examples? Can you call, open WhatsApp and submit the form? Verify that the team receives it.

Then check page access, Search Console indexing, duplicates and internal links. Investigate slow server responses through repeated measurements; one sample does not explain total website speed.

Show what competitors can't all claim

Furniture stores benefit more from materials, dimensions, stock and delivery than “a personal approach”. Construction firms should show real sites, site constraints and installation stages. Help the customer decide.

Do not invent reviews, results or experience. If a case has no figures yet, describe the brief and completed work honestly. Strong evidence comes from real projects over time.

Measure qualified enquiries and sales

Illustration: 6,000 organic visits and 70 enquiries become 10,000 and 75. Traffic rises about 67%, enquiries about 7%, while conversion falls from 1.17% to 0.75%. Investigate traffic quality rather than automatically celebrating.

Connect analytics to enquiry handling: source, landing page, lead qualification, sale and revenue. With low volumes, compare longer periods and allow for seasonality. Five extra enquiries do not establish the effect of a specific SEO change.

Start without an endless task list

Choose one profitable service. Record the baseline, check its page and form, and add missing terms. Review search queries and enquiry quality, then expand based on findings.

Ask suppliers for changed page URLs, reasons for priorities and the next plan. Work volume matters, but the goal is a clearer offer and fewer barriers to contacting you.
